报告摘要：

In this talk, I will introduce the development of Physical Review family journals, the different focus and characteristics of each APS journal, and the procedures for handling manuscripts in the editorial office. I will take Physical Review Letters as an example and discuss some issues people should pay attention to while interacting with the editors, referees, and editorial board members. Some suggestions and advice will be given to students with Chinese cultural backgrounds.

报告人简介：

王牧,于1984年和1991年分别获得南京大学学士和博士学位。1994年获首届“国家杰出青年科学基金”的资助。1999年起首批受聘教育部长江特聘教授。2006-2014年间任南京大学固体微结构物理国家重点实验室主任。2014年4月起任Physical Review Letters副主编和美国物理学会刊物中国地区协调人。2017年4月起兼任Physical Review Materials主编。王牧教授曾任中国结晶学会副理事长、常务理事；中国物理学会常务理事；国际晶体生长组织（IOCG）常务理事；国际纯粹与应用物理联合会凝聚态结构与动力学委员会（C10）委员；美国物理学会国际科学事务委员会（CISA）委员。王牧教授2004年当选英国物理学会Fellow, 2012年当选美国物理学会Fellow，2018年当选美国光学学会Fellow。

王牧教授的研究领域包括材料制备和生长过程中的物理问题、人工微结构材料与电磁波的相互作用、人工微结构材料在量子信息中的应用。
